Becky Collins came from Johnny Galvich's "Learn to Swim" Program at Riviera
Swim Club. Coach Galvich entered Becky in her first Nationals at Shamrock-Hilton, Houston in 1957. She weighed all of 88 lbs. and at that time was not able to butterfly more than 80 yards with the dolphin kick, yet placed 3rd in the 200 meter butterfly and 8th in the 100 meter butterfly.*

Becky was a Multi-time National Champion, All-American, Pan American and
World Record Holder.
 

Becky set a NEW WORLD RECORD in the 220y Butterfly on July 19th, 1959.
